GLIDINGLOW ALTITUDE

3.5/5 (2)

Low Altitude Gliding (LAG) - new sibling of Low Altitude Bush Sprints. Usually, gliding is all about staying as far from the ground as possible, here this will not be a case. Almost like with skiing, the only thing needed is a big enough hill, and the fun can begin. When it comes to “big hills”, Himalayas is probably the best location to look into. So here we are, 9 tracks starting on highest summits on Earth, and finishing either somewhere in the valley or on an airport. All tracks share the same AGL limit of 100 meters.

Included tracks:

  • Annapurna
  • Cho Oyu
  • Dhaulagiri
  • Everest - this is the same track as the bonus track added to my LABS packages
  • Kanchenjunga
  • Karakoram
  • Makalu
  • Manaslu
  • Shishapangma

Similarly, to LABS missions, you will be able to choose from multiple planes (gliders only). All tracks have been tested in Asobo LS8 18 and Discus 2C.

Features available:

  • Glider selection before the flight
  • Ghost plane of your best flight - race against yourself
  • UI - flight time, waypoint information, delta time to a ghost

Disclaimer: Almost all tracks have a very steep start, spoilers must be used in order to avoid exceeding maximum speed. This might be more difficult on controllers. It is also recommended to bind “Toggle Variometer Switch” - you will thank me for this...

Disclaimer 2: LAG is about racing, which means in many cases you will have to fly close to a maximum speed the glider can handle. To be honest, you will want to fly as fast as possible at all times. These tracks are not in a form of typical gliding competition. Please bear that in mind.
