Barranca del Cobre in Mexico

In the fourth installment of the series “The World's Most Beautiful Canyons,” we head to Mexico to visit the Barranca del Cobre. This canyon system, which is up to 1,800 meters deep and 50 kilometers long, is one of the largest in North America and, overall, four times the size of the Grand Canyon.

Through the entire Barranca del Cobre, the elaborately built "Chepe" railroad, which runs from Los Mochis to Chihuahua, winds its way up the mountains to places where you can see far into the canyon area. You will now follow this railroad line from the beginning to the end and experience an adventurous flight and breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.

You'll fly the Pilatus PC-6 G950 through the 5 stages covering more than 320 nautical miles.
