This is the fifth and final part of the Discover Germany series. After the last stage in part 4 of "Discover Germany", the route went through southern Germany to Hof in the Vogtland region. From the Vogtland, the route now covers 770 nautical miles, in 12 legs, through Thuringia - along the Saale River, back into Bavaria and Hesse - along the Main River and back into the new federal states to Berlin, the starting point of this long tour through Germany.
