All the sights of Japan
Konnichiwa (こんにちは) and welcome to the Land of the Rising Sun! After World Update 20, Japan is well worth another visit. It was created for Microsoft Flight Simulator on the occasion of the Tokyo Game Show. There are more than 65 new POIs and over 20 AOIs, all of which you will visit. The flight takes you from Japan's southernmost airport on the island of Hateruma to the northernmost point, Cape Soya, criss-crossing the entire country. You will experience Japan as if in a slowly unfolding panorama from the dividing line between the China Sea and the Pacific Ocean to its highest point, Mount Fuji, and back down to the vastness of the northern Pacific Ocean, where you can look across to Sakhalin in good weather. The first part of the journey is a route that can be read like a silent textbook of Japanese civilization from the air. Overall, this first part spans an arc from urban modernity to spiritual origins and historical centers of power to ecologically sensitive landscapes - a journey that reveals the diversity of Japan in all its depth and at the same time prepares the way for the northern second part. The second part is a journey that feels like a slow, steady transition through the Japanese archipelago - from densely populated plains to volcanic mountain ranges to the quiet, northern shores of Hokkaidō - a continuous unfolding of landscape that opens up further with each section. The highlight of this journey is surely the Shiretoko Peninsula - a place that feels like the end of the world. Steep mountains, deep valleys, arctic sea, drift ice, untouched nature. The flight along the western flank of the Shiretoko Mountains to the lighthouse of Cape Nosappu, then on to Rausu-dake, is one of the most intense sections: raw, clear, archaic - a liberation of the landscape from human density.
The package therefore includes 2 bush trips with a total of 240 waypoints, covering around 4,500 nautical miles. During this trip, all points of interest that are currently (as of March 2026) available by hand and published by MS/Asobo are flown to. All POIs are marked and therefore easy to find. The handmade airports are also flown to as destinations, except for Hachijojima (RJTH), which is a little too far away for this route.
A GPS course is available, the weather is freely selectable, the mission is multiplayer-capable and many functions are unlocked with which you can customize your flying experience. How you can obtain the GPS course is described here: https://www.koschis-web.de/en-us/help-support. You fly with the lively DA40-NG, which is ideally suited for all heights and depths of the flight, as well as the large but also very small airfields.
The texts in the Navlog are machine-translated into all available languages of the MSFS. If there are any errors in the translation, please send a message to the support address shown below once you have purchased this product. This also applies to technical problems or feedback, which is always welcome. Please leave a few stars on this download page if you enjoyed this mission. If not, please tell me why. After you have downloaded and installed the package, you will find 2 new missions under “Activities” -> “Custom Content”.
Have fun flying and always happy landings, Koschi
