The South of Brazil

As well as a temperate subtropical climate, the southern states of Brazil have in common that their backcountry was first settled by German and Italian settlers in the 19th century. This cultural heritage is evident not only in the small villages and low mountain landscapes but also in the modern metropolises, where German efficiency is combined with Mediterranean flair. In many areas away from the coast, the landscape is reminiscent of Southern Germany or Austria, with hills, valleys, rivers, forests and meadows, and even the climate is similar, with snow falling in winter even at higher altitudes. The southern region of Brazil is often compared to Europe due to its cultural similarities. This region defies Brazilian stereotypes more than any other part of the country. Encountering German half-timbered architecture in Brazil, eating Swiss cheese fondue, or hearing German spoken on the street may seem unusual. However, many Brazilians enjoy the romance, especially when combined with snow and winter temperatures.

Since WU19, significant improvements have been made on the South American continent, making it a worthwhile destination to explore. You will be piloting a fast TBM 930 with the Kenmore livery.
