In this Pack - A320 JETBLUE David Neeleman launched JetBlue on 11 February 2000, with flights from JFK to Buffalo and Fort Lauderdale, creating another low-cost airline and declaring war on the industry's cynical assumption that “cheap prices” necessarily meant poor quality.

When Neeleman approached Boeing for aircraft, he demanded the same bulk-order discounts Southwest received as their largest customer—but Boeing dismissed the tiny startup, refusing to match those prices. Frustrated, Neeleman turned to Airbus, who jumped at the chance to break into the American market with aggressive pricing and launch support.

His vision: tickets priced 65% below competitors, but with individual seatback TVs showing live DirecTV—a luxury even first-class passengers couldn't get elsewhere.

By 2007, JetBlue was operating over 100 A320s, and that distinctive blue livery became synonymous with a radical idea: you could fly affordably without being treated like a commodity.

This domestic network proposed in this new package represents JetBlue's core DNA. East Coast corridors where JetBlue learned to fill planes, turn them around in thirty minutes and make passengers smile.
