The 787-10 Dreamliner is a twin-engine, wide-body jet airliner developed and produced by American aviation manufacturer Boeing. The -10 is a stretched variant of the 787-9, itself a lengthened version of the 787-8, the inaugural model of the Dreamliner family. The 787-10 took its maiden flight on March 31, 2017 and it began service on April 3, 2018.

The 787 program began in the late 1990s when Boeing sought their next significant leap in airliner evolution. A next-generation icon of efficiency and performance emerged, one that vaulted to the forefront of the global commercial aviation industry. The Dreamliner is built primarily of composite materials, notably carbon fiber reinforced polymers, which lowers its weight, increases its strength, lengthens airframe lifespan, and reduces its complexity of construction. Its wing, which incorporates raked tips, is a marvel of aerospace design that optimizes lift and minimizes drag. Other features include more powerful and quieter engines, advanced avionics and situational awareness capabilities, and precision digital flight controls.

The -8, the base model of the 787 Dreamliner family, took its maiden flight on December 15, 2009 and entered commercial service on October 26, 2011. The 787-9, a stretched version of the -8 with the same wing, took its maiden flight on September 17, 2013 and entered service on August 7, 2014. The -10 emerged to accommodate more passengers than the -9.

The 787-10 Dreamliner is piloted by two and can seat up to a maximum of 440, although it can typically accommodate up to 330, depending on seating arrangement. It measures 224 feet in length, stands 55 feet, 10 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 197 feet, 3 inches. Its main wing has a swept, high-aspect-ratio form with raked wingtips that mitigate drag-inducing vortex generation. The jetliner is powered by two high-bypass turbofan engines, either the General Electric GEnx-1B or the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000, both models of which deliver up to 76,000 pounds of thrust each.

The 787-10 has a range of 7,280 miles, a service ceiling of 41,100 feet above sea level, and it cruises at 562 miles per hour.
