“Baron’s Revenge,” Race Number 14, was constructed as an AT-6B-NT in Dallas, Texas by North American Aviation in 1941. The airframe served as a trainer in the United States Army Air Forces throughout World War II and was then sold to a private owner in 1946. The T-6 first raced at Reno in 1983, immediately establishing itself as a dominant force by winning 1st place in the Championship Race with an average speed of 225.94 miles per hour. In 2016, Baron’s Revenge finished 1st in the Gold Race with a speed of 231.193 mph, and finished 1st again in 2019, clocking an impressive 235.081 miles per hour. In 2021, Baron’s Revenge again took 1st in Gold, with a roaring speed of 234.862 miles per hour.
