The 777-300 is a twin-engine, long-range commercial jetliner developed and produced by American aviation firm Boeing. It is a stretched iteration of the base model 777, the 777-200, which took its first flight on June 12, 1994 and entered commercial service on June 7, 1995.

The 777-300 took its maiden flight on October 16, 1997 and it entered service on May 27, 1998. The jet is crewed by two and it can hold a maximum of 550 passengers, although it has a typical operational maximum capacity of 396. Boeing manufactured a total of 60 777-300s, the final delivery taking place in 2006.

The 777-300 features a glass cockpit, fly-by-wire operation, and advanced diagnostics and flight controls. It measures 242 feet, 4 inches in length, has a fuselage width of 20 feet, 4 inches, and it stands 60 feet, 8 inches, as measured from the ground to the top of its vertical stabilizer. It has a swept main wing with a span of 199 feet, 11 inches and is powered by two wing-mounted Pratt & Whitney PW4000 high-bypass turbofan engines. Each engine delivers up to 98,000 pounds of thrust.

The aircraft has a range of 6,939 miles, a service ceiling of 43,100 feet above sea level, a cruising speed of 555 miles per hour, and a maximum speed of 588 mph.

Powerful and elegant in form and function, the Boeing 777-300 is one of the great achievements in the world of modern aviation. Its efficiency, range, and robust performance from takeoff to landing makes it an aviator favorite.
