TURBOPROPGENERAL AVIATIONB200

3.8/5 (4)

The B200 stands as one of the most respected turboprops in aviation, known for combining performance, reliability, and versatility in a way few aircraft have matched. For decades, it has served as a trusted platform for corporate travel, special missions, and regional operations, earning a reputation for capability and professionalism wherever it flies. With its powerful twin-engine configuration, pressurized cabin, and unmistakable profile, the B200 delivers both comfort and performance. Pilots value its stable handling and operational flexibility, while passengers appreciate the smooth ride and refined cabin environment that have made it a benchmark in its class. In this digital recreation, the aircraft’s distinctive cockpit layout, external lines, and characteristic flight dynamics have been carefully preserved. Subtle refinements ensure a fluid and immersive experience in modern simulation while maintaining the authenticity and legacy that define this iconic aircraft. Whether you have flown it professionally, admired its reputation across the aviation world, or are experiencing it for the first time, the B200 offers a chance to explore one of the most capable turboprops ever built—now recreated with the fidelity, detail, and atmosphere of MSFS2024. Equipped with twin Pratt & Whitney turboprop engines, the aircraft delivers a range of roughly 1,500–1,700 nautical miles, a service ceiling of 35,000 feet, and a climb rate exceeding 2,000 feet per minute. Typical cruise speeds are around 270–290 knots, with a maximum cruise approaching 300 knots, giving the B200 the speed and altitude capability to operate efficiently across a wide variety of missions.

The B200 is an American twin-engine, low-wing, turboprop-powered monoplane. It has seating for up to ten, including one or two pilots.

Development of the B200 began in the late 1960s with the intent of offering a next-generation turboprop-powered twin-engine utility aircraft with a broad range of uses. Engineers created the B200 based on a long lineage of successful twin-engine utility airplanes. The design features a low-mounted swept main wing, a T-tail empennage, a retractable tricycle undercarriage, and a pressurized cabin. It took its maiden flight in October 1972 and customer deliveries began in February 1974. The model, including several upgrades, was produced until 2007.

The B200 has proven to be a rugged, reliable, and exceptionally versatile aircraft. It can operate from a wide variety of facilities, including short and unimproved airfields, and its interior can be configured for a broad spectrum of applications. It has been used for business and executive transport, charter, regional airline routes, cargo, air ambulance, flight training, aerial photography and mapping, scientific support, atmospheric research, and several governmental and military applications.

The B200 measures 43 feet, 11 inches in length, stands 14 feet, 9 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 54 feet, 6 inches. It is powered by two wing-mounted turboprop engines, each of which generates up to 850 horsepower and turns a 5-blade, composite, constant-speed propeller. It has a maximum range of 1,715 miles, a service ceiling of 35,000 feet above sea level, a cruising speed of 312 miles per hour, and a top speed of 333 miles per hour.
