The Mooney M20R Ovation is a single-engine, low-wing airplane renowned for its high performance and distinctive looks.

Debuting in 1994, the Ovation’s heritage reaches back to 1955 with the introduction of the M20, the 20th aircraft design of company founder Al Mooney. All-metal, with retractable tricycle landing gear, the four-place M20R is powered by a Teledyne Continental naturally-aspirated engine that delivers 280 horsepower to the propeller. The Ovation’s power, coupled with its low-drag design, delivers tremendous performance to pilots, including a maximum cruise speed of 190 knots, a climb rate nearing 1,300 feet per minute, and a service ceiling of 20,000 feet.

Its design stout and muscular, yet elegant in its simplicity, the Mooney M20R Ovation is a true pilot’s aircraft. Aviators relish the experience of aiming the storied plane down the runway, pushing its throttle forward, and then both hearing and feeling the roaring engine as this sleek legend launches into the sky. In the air, the Ovation is a deft performer courtesy of its refined design and meticulous systems, granting an intuitive piloting experience and wondrous views of the world around it.
