The Seneca V is the latest iteration of the tried-and-true line of the Piper PA-34 aircraft that has proven itself over the decades as a top performer among independent aviators, business flyers, and flight schools alike.

The Seneca V’s lineage stretches back to the company’s highly versatile PA-32 Cherokee Six, a single-engine, low-wing light airplane used for a variety of purposes. Initially planned as a three-engine model, the earliest production incarnation of the PA-34 featured dual powerplants and fixed landing gear.

The Seneca V sports two turbocharged, intercooled Teledyne Continental six-cylinder engines that drive counter-rotating propellers, retractable landing gear, and a three-screen Garmin G1000 NXi glass cockpit, among a host of key features. With a total of 440 horsepower standard, the stock Seneca V boasts a maximum takeoff weight of 4,750 pounds, a cruising speed of 160 knots, and a service ceiling of 19,400 feet.

A timeless ensemble of sleek lines and elegant structure, the Piper PA-34 Seneca V evokes motion even while standing still on the ground. Once in the cockpit and roaring down the runway, pilots experience what is shrouded within each of its wing nacelles: turbocharged power. The aircraft can race to a top speed of 205 knots and has a maximum certified altitude of 25,000 feet, all with a maximum range of nearly 1,000 nautical miles. With modern avionics and a cockpit design that maximizes visibility, the Seneca V delivers performance along with broad, sweeping views around its pathways through the sky.
