The YMF-5 is an open cockpit, light biplane produced by the WACO Aircraft Corporation of the United States.

Based on the design of the 1934 WACO (Weaver Aircraft Company) “YMF” model, the YMF-5 was introduced in 1986. Each is hand built, and while its design hails from the early days of aviation, the YMF-5 is hewn of modern materials and proven, state-of-the-art systems, including modern alloys and glass touchscreen digital avionics.

The YMF-5 has a tandem, dual cockpit design with seating for two on the forward seat and one for the pilot in the rear. The biplane features a staggered wing design, with the upper 30-foot wing situated forward of the lower. Powered by a single seven-cylinder, air-cooled Jacobs R-755A2 engine that delivers 300 horsepower to a fixed-pitch wood propeller, the aircraft cruises at 115 miles per hour, has a top end of 214, and stalls at 59 mph.
