Pilot Experience Pack R22

Achieve new heights with DHM Studio's Pilot Experience Pack (PXP). This is a complete reformulation of the Flight Dynamics for CowanSim R22 Beta II. Every flight detail is based on a real R22 (PP-MLU), all parameters are based on several flight hours that were flown just for the creation of this pack, together with direct feedbacks from more than 20 pilots.

PXP Details: Engine:

• Complete revamp on the engine parameters
• EGT, CHT and Oil Pressure are calibrated
• Realistic CHT behavior
• Realistic oil temperature behavior
• Engine DAMAGE simulation on overstress
• Realistic Fuel Consumption
• Realistic Throttle response
• Manifold Pressure calibrated to the real aircraft (limited only by internal MSFS engine)

Flight Dynamics:

• Weight and Center of Gravity (CG) were calibrated according to the manual
• Added new station for luggage
• Initial CG take-off configuration improved
• Response time and range of motion improved

Main Drive System (Rotors)

• Complete overhaul of the main rotor system
• Adjusted teetering and coning effects based on the real aircraft
• Adjusted rotor response rigidity
• Complete reworked the controls response angles and response time
• Adjusted lift slopes to be more inline with the real aircraft
• Complete overhaul of Auto-Rotation behavior, it is now as close as possible within the internal limitations of MSFS
• Rotor head inertial energy are now manageable like the real aircraft (hover IGE engine failure and final auto-rotation response time)
• Corrected IGE behavior on the main rotor head and tail rotor system
• Tail rotor effectiveness calibrated
• Tail rotor response time calibrated (very snappy like the real PP-MLU)
• VRS increased with early warning (sluggish roll responses)
• LTE simulated within MSFS limitations.
