1500R Sport

Emerald Scenery Design

MINIMAXULTRALIGHTHOMEBUILTMICROLIGHTEXPERIMENTAL

5/5 (6)

Modeled after its real-world counterpart, the 1500R Sport features a 40 hp Rotax 447 2-stroke engine, giving it a climb rate of around 1000 fpm, a takeoff roll under 100 ft (30 m), and landing roll of around 200 ft (60 m). This makes the 1500R a very versatile aircraft, and with it's upgraded 17" tires, the 1500R excels on both soft-field and paved surfaces, though pilots should note the lack of suspension which would make for a rougher experience on unimproved runways.

FEATURES ❖ 12 hand-crafted liveries ❖ Custom Wwise Sounds ❖ 2-stroke choke simulation, including flooding (Optional + Persistent) ❖ A breakable prop, resulting in engine damage (Reset with Slew Mode) ❖ Multiplayer Smoke ❖ Headphone Simulation ❖ A togglable prop spinner (Persistent) ❖ Tinted glass (Optional + Persistent) ❖ Togglable Chocks ❖ Togglable Pitot Cover (Will affect airspeed if left on) ❖ Dynamic Vibration Simulation for gauges and various parts (Tunable Intensity + Persistent) ❖ VR Motion Control Support for Stick, Switches, & Levers

A special thanks to Mykrode (Got Friends) and Smitty (eSTOL) who worked with me, contributing the model and flight model for this project! As well as various community developers who took time to answer many questions, including: Sal1800, Lord Frites, Hans Hartmann, TwoSeventyInc, GotGravel, & Jonx.

The 1500R Sport is a single-engine, single-seat, open-cockpit, homebuilt kit aircraft. The model, which took its maiden flight in 1987, is simple and rugged in form and is forgiving in the air. It is a member of the popular Mini-MAX line of aircraft introduced in 1984. The name Mini-MAX reflects the founding principles of the developers of the aircraft line: to require minimum effort and expense and provide maximum aviation enjoyment.

The 1500R Sport features a strut-braced straight main wing, a fixed standard undercarriage, and a traditional empennage. It is powered by a 40-horsepower piston engine that turns a fixed-pitch wooden propeller. It climbs at 1,000 feet per minute, cruises at 65 miles per hour, stalls at 31 mph, and has a top speed of 75 mph. It has a take-off ground roll of less than 100 feet and a landing roll of 210 feet.
