The Gee Bee R3 Special is a concept modern racing aerobatic aircraft that has never been built as a real full-scale aircraft. It was designed by Italian designer Mirco Pecorari and features typical Gee Bee lines but is streamlined to be a modern hot-rod among Gee Bees.

This rendition is equipped with a custom Got Friends' Jimmy Doolittle Turbo NOS Injected engine, delivering 1000HP to 3 blades at a constant 2,700RPM. It is designed to be used competitively in racing giving you unprecedented speed and agility! We have also crammed 75 Quarts (10-Minutes) of Nitrous Oxide (NOS) in the rear. You'll have the ability to ramp up your engine to an additional 25% performance increase to take lead and take 1st during any race! If you're looking for some extra flair, the Gee Bee R3 is equipped with multiple colored smoke canisters, a Garmin 430/330 set and automatic asymmetric speed-brake activation on the nose when you need to perform sharp turns or manual deployment for when you need it most.

The Gee Bee R3 Special is a single-seat, single-engine, low-wing fantasy monoplane based on the storied Gee Bee Model R racing aircraft of the 1930s by American aircraft producer Granville Brothers Aircraft. The aircraft was initially conceived by Italian aircraft designer Mirco Pecorari. The sleek, gorgeous design evokes pure speed, even while sitting still on a runway. In the air, the Gee Bee R3 special is a true speed master. The Gee Bee R3 Special features an elliptical main wing, a bubble canopy located to the rear of the wing at the base of the vertical stabilizer, and a unique empennage with a traditional horizontal stabilizer and a split-level vertical stabilizer. A taildragger, the R3 special has fixed main gear with tear-shaped wheel pants. The R3 Special is powered by a fuel injected Lycoming AEIO-580-B1A engine that produces up to 315 horsepower and drives a 3-blade propeller at a constant speed of 2,700 rpm. For extra speed, this speedster is equipped with a nitrous oxide system to add an additional 25% of maximum power for up to five minutes. To counter that speed, notably during aerobatic maneuvers, the aircraft comes with an automatically-deploying nose-mounted asymmetric air brake. The Gee Bee also has a smoke system, with blue, orange, green, white, and red canisters to paint the sky. The Gee Bee 3 Special is aviation performance combined with artistry. Not only can pilots roar thunder through the skies at blistering velocities, they can perform high-g maneuvers with ease.
