AEROBATICSUKHOISU31RUSSIA

4.3/5 (73)

The Sukhoi Su-31 is a Russian single-engined aerobatic aircraft designed by Sukhoi as a lighter and more powerful version of the Sukhoi Su-29. The low-wing cantilever monoplane first flew in June 1992 as the Su-29T and the first production aircraft flying in 1994.

This flight simulation rendition features a high detail visual model with 4K textures, a realistic cockpit and sound effects taken from real world recording and a native MSFS flight model. The livery depicted is the typical livery of Sukhoi aerobatic aircrafts and is available in 5 different colors.

Due to the high-detail model and textures, we suggest to use the Sukhoi-31 on systems that meet or exceed the following requirements: CPU: 3.0GHz dual core processor or better GPU: at least 4Gb dedicated memory, Nvidia 960 or better recommended RAM: 8.0Gb minimum Hard Disk: 660Mb required for installation

The Sukhoi Su-31 is a single-engine, single-seat sport and aerobatic monoplane produced by Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi. The aircraft was developed from the company’s earlier Su-26, with notable differences in the -31 that include having an all-composite rear fuselage and more sensitive controls. The aircraft, which first flew as a prototype in June of 1992 and became available in late 1994, is a favorite of a number of international aerobatics champions due to its ability to perform extreme aerobatics.

The Su-31 features a low wing with a span of 25 feet, 7 inches, a fixed taildragger landing gear, a bubble canopy, and a traditional empennage. The aircraft is powered by a 9-cylinder, air-cooled Vedeneyev M-14PF radial engine that produces 400 horsepower and drives a constant-speed 3-blade propeller. The Sukhoi has a top speed of 206 miles per hour, cruises at 185 mph, and a never exceed speed of 280. It can climb at 4,700 feet per minute and has a range of 680 miles.

Sukhoi designed the Su-31, of which only 36 were built, to withstand extreme forces; it can handle up to +12gs and -10gs. Its form and construction, combined with the power of its engine, make the Su-31 able to execute the most intense aerobatics imaginable, and some maneuvers that many might not be able to imagine until they see them with their own eyes. The Su-31 is not for amateurs. The unforgiving aircraft does exactly what the pilot tells it to do, immediately, including roll at 400 degrees per second. For pilots who long to really test their aerobatic skills, the Sukhoi Su-31 is an ideal machine.
