Analog King Air

Black Square

JUST FLIGHTBLACK SQUAREANALOGKING AIRSTEAM GAUGE

5/5 (6)

Black Square’s Analog King Air brings you a completely new interior and panel for the default MSFS King Air, featuring analogue instrumentation (steam gauges), swappable radio configurations and an overhauled electrical system with every circuit breaker, bus, meter, switch and knob functioning.

Radio and navigation systems are available from several eras of the King Air’s history, so users can fly without GPS via an original Bendix KNS-80 RNAV system, or with the convenience of a Garmin GTN 750 (PMS50 or TDS). Other swappable radio equipment includes Collins CTL NAV/COM radios, CTL-62 ADF, GNS 530, IND-42 DME, CTL-92 transponder, APS-65 autopilot, and a Bendix RDR1150XL color weather radar.

Note: This product is an INTERIOR AND SYSTEMS OVERHAUL ONLY that makes use of the default MSFS King Air exterior visual model. Improvements have been made to almost all aspects of the aircraft, except the visual appearance of the exterior. All default King Air liveries are compatible with this product. REQUIRES the default King Air 350i to be installed.

For more information on this product’s capabilities and a list of all included avionics and equipment, see the extensive PDF operating manual at www.JustFlight.com.

Systems

Black Square’s overhauled cockpits with analog instrumentation go far beyond a visual upgrade. Included, you will find a complete redesign of all aircraft systems to more closely match the real aircraft, with a focus on electrical systems. Also included are more accurate weight and balance, lighting systems, flight dynamics and ground handling. Enjoy features such as:

  • Completely interactable electrical system with 12 buses and 165 circuits
  • Selective state saving for radio selection, radio frequency memory, cabin aesthetics etc.
  • Fully modelled cabin environmental (temperature) system with controls and gauges
  • Crew/Passenger oxygen system that depletes according to pressure altitude, passenger occupancy and the biological demand of each passenger based on weight
  • Electrical bus-tie, relay, diode, and fault logic, AC inverter logic and bleed air valve logic
  • Improved turbine dynamics (ITT, TRQ, Ng, Fuel Flow, Inertial Separator), battery charging circuity and load shedding
  • Engine limit excursions decrease engine health and will eventually lead to failure
  • Emergency gear extension hand pump logic and working propeller governor tests
  • Dimmable annunciators and backlighting controlled via electrical circuits and radio power, and automatically dimming screens via photocell match real-world equipment
  • Mathematically accurate VOR and ADF signal attenuation and noise, and remote compass

Checklists

Over 500 checklist items are provided for 45+ Normal, Abnormal, and Emergency procedures in textual form in the manual, and in-game, using the MSFS native checklist system with control and instrument highlighting. If it’s in the checklist, it’s settable in the aircraft!

Sounds

Black Square’s Analog King Air features the default MSFS-native (Wwise) 3D King Air sound package, with new custom sounds added for aural warnings, environmental control systems, electronics and more.

Flight dynamics

The Analog King Air features an improved flight model compared to the default King Air, with tweaks based on operator feedback online.

Manual

Read the over 100 page manual before you buy at www.JustFlight.com.

The King Air is twin-engine, low-wing utility monoplane by American aviation producer Beechcraft. The turboprop-powered aircraft was developed and took its maiden flight in the early 1960s, and a series of iterations were produced over the following decades. The King Air is crewed by one or two and can carry up to seven passengers. The King Air Analog features analog “steam” gauges in its cockpit.

The King Air has a high-aspect ratio main wing with a slight leading edge taper, a traditional empennage, and a retractable tricycle undercarriage. It measures 35 feet, 6 inches in length, stands 14 feet, 3 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 50 feet, 3 inches. It is powered by two 550-horsepower turboprop engines; each powerplant turns a 4-blade, constant-speed propeller.

The aircraft has a range of 1,520 miles, has a service ceiling of 30,000 feet above sea level, and it climbs at 2,000 feet per minute. The King Air stalls (flaps down) at 90 miles per hour, cruises at 260 mph, and has a top speed of 311 mph.
