The Super Viking is a low-wing, single-engine, light aircraft by American aviation producer Bellanca. The Super Viking, which can seat up to four, is based on the company’s earlier offering, the Viking, and was introduced in 1969.

The story of the Super Viking began with Bellanca’s Cruisair, a single-engine, low-wing monoplane that took its first flight in 1937. After a number of improved iterations, Bellanca introduced the Viking in 1967, based on the Cruisair design. The aircraft quickly proved itself as agile and sporty, but also forgiving, earning it a loyal following. The Super Viking represented the most refined version of the Viking lineage, providing ample power and enhanced aerodynamic features. Enthusiasts of the Super Viking know it as an aircraft suitable for a wide variety of uses, from advanced trainer to cross-country flyer.

The Super Viking measures 26 feet, 4 inches in length, stands 7 feet, 4 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 34 feet, 2 inches. It features retractable tricycle landing gear and a traditional empennage. It is powered by a 300-horsepower, flat-six Continental IO-520-K piston engine that turns a constant-speed propeller. The Super Viking has a range of 920 miles, a service ceiling of 17,000 feet above sea level, and it climbs at a rate of 1,170 feet per minute. It stalls at 70 miles per hour, cruises at 188 mph, and has a top speed of 210.
