The A321 CEO (current engine option) took its maiden flight on March 11, 1993 and entered service in 1994. The twin-engine aircraft, produced from 1992 to 2021, has proven remarkably successful, serving airlines throughout the world.

The A321 CEO features a low-mounted, swept main wing with a span of 117 feet, 5 inches, and measures 146 feet from nose to tail. It is crewed by two and accommodates from 170 to 220 passengers, depending on seating configurations. It is powered by two high-bypass turbofan engines, either the CFM International CFM56-5B or the IAE V2500, both of which generate a maximum 33,000 pounds of thrust.

The jetliner has a range of 3,682 miles and a ceiling of 39,800 feet above sea level. It cruises at 518 miles per hour and has a top speed of 544 mph.

A stalwart member of the Airbus lineage, the A321 CEO is a standard setter in the class of single-aisle airliners. Elegantly designed with clean lines, the airframe is also a pilot favorite, featuring advanced flight controls and an intuitive cockpit layout.
