2.7/5 (48)

The Airbus A330-200F is a freighter (cargo) version of the Airbus A330-200 wide-body twin-engine jet. It was designed as a modern replacement for older mid-size cargo aircraft like the McDonnell Douglas DC-10F and MD-11F. Package consists 18 liveries, with 2 fictional liveries.

· Customized systems (avionics) made from scratch of the Airbus A330-200F, simulating its basic cockpit functionalities. A more basic optional "LEGACY" avionics version.

· Basic to mid customized avionics, with expanded functionalities:

· Lateral and Vertical autopilot realistic navigation.

· Ability to fly pilot selected holds, missed approaches, advanced route programming, flight management, full ILS Autoland capabilities among other customized features.

· Pending RNAV approaches for future update. GPS approaches can be flown.

· Optional legacy avionics for more simple and basic flying.

· Highly detailed external and interior model with high-definition textures.

· Cabin announcements, automatically sound based on phase of flight.

· 2 engine variants, RR and PW with their respective airline operators.

· Simulation of the auto transfer of the Trim tank, based on Aircraft’s CG and auto logic.

· Cabin model with Business class, premium economy, economy seats and galleys.

· 15 custom liveries from real world airlines and 2 fictional operators of the A330-200F.

· Excellent flight dynamics that resemble the Airbus A330-200F, characteristics, power management, fuel systems etc.

· EFB (electronic flight bag) with weather, aircraft loading, simbrief, navigraph charts, GSE options.

· Navigraph charts implementation on EFB. Subscription required.

· Simbrief flight plan injection to CDU

The A330-200F is a twin-engine, long-range, mid-sized commercial air freighter manufactured by European aerospace consortium Airbus. It is a cargo derivative of the A330-200 twin-aisle passenger jetliner, itself a variant of the A330-300, the first iteration of the A330 line. The A330-200F took its maiden flight on November 5, 2009 and it entered service in 2010.

The A330-200 has a shorter fuselage than the A330-300 and an enlarged rudder and elevator to compensate for the length difference. The two share identical systems, airframe, wings, flight controls, and avionics. Airbus modified the base A330-200 in several ways to create the A330-200F. Changes include a modified forward landing gear to maintain a level deck during loading and unloading, a windowless cabin, and a large main deck cargo door. The A330-200F features a large, strengthened internal main cargo floor that can accommodate all types of cargo containers and pallets.

The A330-200F is crewed by two and can carry up to 134,482 pounds of cargo between its main deck and underfloor. The aircraft measures 193 feet in length, stands 57 feet, 1 inch tall, and has a wingspan of 197 feet, 10 inches. It is powered by two high-bypass turbofan engines that each produce up to 71,100 pounds of thrust.

The A330-200F has a range of 4,773 miles, a service ceiling of 41,100 feet above sea level, and a cruising speed of 541 miles per hour.
