G1000

4.5/5 (23)

The Cessna 400 Corvalis TT comes with the following liveries: C-FCEP, OE-DNA, N411CE, N68SE, N3824, N3962C, N41567, OE-DNB, N45LM2 (White).

The 400 Corvalis TT is a single-engine, low-wing, 4-seat airplane produced by Cessna of the United States. Constructed of composite materials, the piston-powered Corvalis TT is known among pilots as a sporty, advanced aircraft that is finely balanced for a range of flight profiles.

The 400 Corvalis TT traces its roots to the all-composite Columbia 300, an aircraft created and manufactured by Columbia Aircraft of the United States that was first delivered in 2000. The Columbia 300 was based on the Lancair ES homebuilt airplane, itself an evolution of the Lancair IV. Columbia later added a turbocharged engine to the 300 and marketed it as the Columbia 400. Cessna took over manufacturing of the 400 in the mid-2000s and sold the aircraft as the Corvalis TT. Corvalis is a reference to Corvallis, Oregon, where Cessna manufactured the aircraft, and TT is a designation for “twin turbocharged.”

The Corvalis TT features an advanced design that incorporates a fixed tricycle undercarriage with fairings. The fixed gear, while adding some drag, reduces weight and complexity of the aircraft, and hence detracts little from its performance. The airplane has advanced avionics and flight controls that pilots report provide an exceptional flying experience, both in terms of performance and situational awareness.

The aircraft measures 25 feet, 2 inches in length, stands 9 feet tall, and has a wingspan of 36 feet, 1 inch. It is powered by a dual-turbocharged Teledyne Continental TSIO-550-C 6-cylinder engine that produces up to 310 horsepower and turns a 3-blade constant-speed propeller. The 400 Corvalis TT has a range of 1,274 miles, a service ceiling of 25,000 feet above sea level, a climb rate of 1,500 feet per minute, and it cruises at 270 miles per hour.

Aviators who have flown the Cessna 400 Corvalis TT know it as an incredibly refined aircraft that provides speed, responsiveness, and great range. The cockpit experience of the 400 Corvalis TT is exceptional, allowing pilots to engage in a wide range of flying from practicing basic flight maneuvers to exploring clouds and landscapes on cross-country flights.
