The King Air C90GTx is a twin-engine, low-wing, general utility monoplane developed and produced by American aircraft manufacturer Beechcraft. The C90GTx is the most advanced variant of the venerable King Air, which took its first flight in May of 1963 and was introduced on September 9, 1964. The King Air family was continuously produced from 1964 to 2021, with numerous iterations of the airframe released during this span and a total of more than 3,100 manufactured. The King Air has served throughout the world in both civil and military applications and is considered one of the most successful aircraft lines in aviation history.

The 8-seat C90GTx was developed beginning in 2010 and 168 have been delivered. It is an evolution of the King Air C90GTi, which was first delivered in 2008, and is itself an extension of the C90, introduced in July of 2005. Notable differences in the C90GTx over the C90GTi include added winglets to enhance the efficiency of the main wing, increased maximum take-off weight, and increased climb rate.

The King Air C90GTx measures 35 feet, 6 inches in length, stands 14 feet, 3 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 53 feet, 8 inches. The aircraft features retractable tricycle landing gear and a traditional empennage. In the cockpit, pilots are treated to Collins Aerospace Pro Line 21 avionics that allows single-pilot operation. The system boasts graphical touchscreen flight planning, high-resolution synthetic vision, and precision GPS navigation, among a host of other capabilities.

The C90GTx is powered by two wing-mounted Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-135A turboprop engines that each deliver up to 550 horsepower to Hartzell constant-speed propellers. The aircraft has a maximum range of 1,260 miles, a service ceiling of 30,000 feet above sea level, and a climb rate of 1,900 feet per minute. It has a cruising speed of 238 miles per hour and a maximum cruise speed of 313 mph.

With decades of development behind the airframe and adorned with the most advanced flight controls and avionics available, the Beechcraft King Air C90GTx is a machine that delivers power, performance, and control. From short training hops to long cross-country runs, the C90GTx proves that it is an exemplary gem of the King Air franchise each time it lifts off the ground.
