The 757 “Trump Force One” is a Boeing 757-200 that has been specially modified for VIP and business executive travel by the Trump Organization. Headed by Donald Trump, the 45th and 47th President of the United States, the Trump Organization has used the 757 for several transport purposes, including business, Trump family vacationing and personal use, and for campaigning prior to the 2016 and 2024 elections. Members of the media began calling the aircraft “Trump Force One” during the 2016 presidential election campaign as a humorous variant of “Air Force One,” the call sign of any aircraft operated by the U.S. Air Force that carries the sitting President of the United States.

The 757 is a twin-engine, medium-range, narrow-body commercial jet used for both passenger and freight transport. Developed as a successor to the 3-engine Boeing 727, the prototype of the 757 took its maiden flight on February 19, 1982 and entered commercial service on January 1, 1983. It features a glass cockpit and advanced avionics, and it is known for its efficiency. Boeing developed two basic variants of the aircraft, the original 757-200 and then the 757-300, which features a stretched fuselage. The 757-200 is piloted by two and can accommodate up to 239 passengers, although most configurations comprise seating for up to 200.

The base airframe that became Trump Force One has a history extending more than three decades. Boeing manufactured the 757-200 in 1991 and it then entered service with a budget European airline. It later served a budget Mexican airline, then served as a corporate jet for an American investment organization. The Trump Organization purchased the aircraft in 2011 and contracted extensive retrofitting, notably to its interior. Modifications include a master bedroom, a living room, and a state-of-the-art entertainment system. The interior is adorned with Italian leather seats and 24-karat gold finishes throughout, including on seatbelts and bathroom fixtures. It is piloted by two and can accommodate up to 43 passengers.

The Boeing 757 Trump Force One measures 155 feet, 3 inches in length, stands 44 feet, 6 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 124 feet, 10 inches. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce RB211 high-bypass turbofan engines, each of which generates up to 43,500 pounds of thrust. It has an endurance of eight hours, a range of 3,000 miles, and a service ceiling of 42,650 feet above sea level. It cruises at 531 miles per hour and has a top speed of 571 mph.
