The C-32 is a medium-range, twin-engine, specialty military transport aircraft manufactured by American aerospace producer Boeing and operated by the United States Air Force. It is a specially configured variant of the 757-200 narrow-body commercial jet aircraft that the Air Force uses to transport the Vice President of the United States and others in senior American government roles.

The prototype of the base airframe of the C-32, the 727, took its maiden flight on February 19, 1982. The 727-200, the initial production variant of the 727, entered commercial service on January 1, 1983. The U.S. Air Force contracted Boeing to convert a total of 12 727-200s into two variants of the C-32, eight C-32A models and four C-32B models. First deployed on June 19, 1998, the Air Force uses the C-32A to transport the Vice President and other officials. The aircraft uses the call sign “Air Force Two” when it carries the Vice President.

The C-32A comprises four interior sections: a forward area with a communications suite, galley, and ten business class seats; a second section with a stateroom; a third section with eight business class seats for conferences; and a rear section with 32 business class seats.

The C-32A measures 155 feet, 3 inches in length, stands 44 feet, 6 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 124 feet, 8 inches. It is powered by two Pratt and Whitney PW2040 high-bypass turbofan engines, each of which generates up to 41,700 pounds of thrust. Piloted by two, it has a range of 6,329 miles, a service ceiling of 42,000 feet above sea level, and a cruising speed of 537 miles per hour.
