The EMB 110 Bandeirante is a low-wing, twin-turboprop, light transport aircraft that was manufactured by Brazil’s Embraer aviation company from 1968 to 1990. The Bandeirante (Portuguese for pioneer) has seen both civil and military use over the years by companies and governments across the globe. The versatile EMB 110 has performed a wide variety of roles, including regional airliner, cargo hauler, troop transport, and surveillance, among others.

The Bandeirante features a side-by-side two-place cockpit, an unswept main with a span of 50 feet, four inches, and an empennage with a fuselage-mounted horizontal stabilizer. The stock aircraft, which can seat up to 21 passengers, is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34 turboprop engines that each deliver 750 horsepower. Known as a stable and reliable performer, the EMB 110 has a cruise speed of 255 miles per hour, a ceiling of 21,490 feet above sea level, and a range of just over 1,200 miles.

For pilots of virtually all skill levels, the Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante provides a smooth flying experience with few inherent hurdles. From its utilitarian cockpit, lift into the skies for leisurely flight, train for piloting larger, more complex aircraft, or put it through its paces with moderately aggressive maneuvers.
