4.3/5 (82)

The Cows DA42 marks the debut of the ultimate multi-engine experience. Featuring an incredible flight model, bespoke complex digital systems, head-filling sounds, and a gorgeous visual model; the DA42 Series is meticulously tailored for students to practice critical procedures and maneuvers. For the casual simmer, it offers the pinnacle of cross-country flying with panoramic views and easy-to-fly dynamics.

This package includes both DA42-VI and DA42-TDI variants.

The DA42-VI is a twin-engine, 4-seat, multirole airplane. The DA42-VI is an exceptionally versatile aircraft that has proven to be ideal for a variety of applications. These uses include flight training, aerial photography, geotechnical surveying, general civil use, and military ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) data collections.

The DA42-VI features an aerodynamically optimized design comprising a high-aspect-ratio main wing with winglets, a T-tail empennage, and a retractable tricycle undercarriage. It uses composite construction that includes carbon fiber polymer structural supports and exterior components. The cockpit has a panoramic, wrap-around canopy and two rows of side-by-side seating with dual controls for the front row. The aircraft uses advanced flight controls and has an avionics suite with flat panel screens for optimum pilot situational awareness.

The DA42-VI measures 28 feet, 1 inch in length, stands 8 feet, 2 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 44 feet, 5 inches. It is powered by two high-efficiency, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder aircraft diesel piston engines. Each powerplant produces up to 168 horsepower and turns a 3-blade, constant-speed propeller.

The DA42-VI has a range of 1,266 miles, a service ceiling of 17,500 feet, and a climb rate of 1,114 feet per minute. It has a stall speed of 71 miles per hour, a cruising speed of 201 mph, and a top speed of 227 mph.

The DA42 TDI is a 4-seat, twin-engine, multi-mission aircraft. The distinctive airplane has a low-wing monoplane design and a T-tail empennage. It is powered by twin turbocharged direct-injection (TDI) diesel engines.

The DA42 TDI is well known for its exceptional versatility. Its applications include flight training, geotechnical surveying, general civil use, military, aerial photography, and law enforcement.

Its main wing is a high-aspect-ratio design and incorporates winglets for mitigation of drag-inducing tip vortices. It features composite construction throughout, including carbon fiber polymer structural supports. The state-of-the-art cockpit has two rows of side-by-side seating with dual controls on the front row. Situational awareness is optimized in the DA42 TDI with its wrap-around canopy and advanced avionics with flat panel screens.

The DA42 TDI measures 28 feet, 1 inch in length, stands 8 feet, 2 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 44 feet, 5 inches. It is powered by two 4-cylinder, turbocharged direct-injection diesel engines. The powerplants are controlled by a dual-channel, full-authority digital engine control (FADEC) system.

The DA42 TDI has a range of 1,266 miles, a service ceiling of 17,500 feet, and a climb rate of 1,114 feet per minute. It has a stall speed of 71 miles per hour, a cruising speed of 201 mph, and a top speed of 227 mph.
