PHANTOM1435 FLIGHTFALKLANDSRAF

4.4/5 (5)

The F-4 Phantom is an aircraft of legend. It has served many nations throughout its life, and continues to fly to this day.

British acquisition of the Phantom is something that still sparks controversy to this day, yet it would find its place amongst the Royal Air Force as a versitile multirole combat aircraft. With the Royal Air Force, it would see service throughout many theatres, not only defending the home islands, but many of the outposts of the Commonwealth.

1435 Flight is tasked with providing protection to the Falkland Islands from any air or maritime threats. The unit traces its lineage back to the Siege of Malta during World War Two, and the Flights heraldry embodies this.

The aircraft have tail codes as reminders of that time, F (Faith), H (Hope), C (Charity) and D (Desperation) along with carrying the Maltese Cross.

Included with this pack are examples of all Phantoms that served in the Falkland Islands.
