The F-4 Phantom is an aircraft of legend. It has served many nations throughout its life, and continues to fly to this day.
While serving with distinction on the frontlines in many conflicts, the Phantom was also a stalwart in the world of testing and evaluation.
This pack brings to life a number of schemes worn throughout its varied career as a test aircraft in the US and the UK.
- YF-4E 65-0713 USAF, Edwards AFB. This aircraft was the aircraft flown by Chuck Yeager during his final active duty flight on 25 February 1975.
- NF-4E 66-0319 USAF, Edwards AFB, 1985. This aircraft served as part of the test and evaluation team during the develoment of Air Launched Cruise Missiles.
- F-4J 153852 USN, NAS Patuxent River, 1979. This aircraft served with the Naval Air Test Centre evaluating new weapons and tactics for use with the US Navy and Marine Corps
- F-4S(J) 157286 USN, USS Nimitz, 1979. This aircraft was converted from an F-4J into the prototype of the F-4S. It also would appear in the movie "The Final" Countdown in 1979
- FGR.1 XT597 A&AEE, Boscombe Down 1990. (Due to model limitations, this rendition of the aircraft includes the fin mounted RWR housing)
