The PA-32 Saratoga is a single-engine, all-metal, low-wing monoplane developed and manufactured by American aviation producer Piper Aircraft. It can seat up to seven, including pilot. Piper manufactured the aircraft from 1980 to 2008.

Piper developed the PA-32 Saratoga from their popular PA-32 Cherokee Six line. The Cherokee Six, introduced in 1965, is a single-engine, low-wing, light aircraft with fixed tricycle landing gear. Piper manufactured the Cherokee Six from 1965 to 2007, producing more than 7,800 airframes.

In 1972, Piper added retractable landing gear to the Cherokee Six design, creating the Lance. The Lance underwent several iterative changes in the following years, including an updated tail section. In 1980, Piper changed the wing shape to a tapered design, creating the Saratoga.

The PA-32 Saratoga is a wonderfully versatile aircraft that pilots know as an efficient performer. It measures 27 feet, 6 inches in length, stands 8 feet, 6 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 36 feet, 3 inches. The aircraft is powered by a 6-cylinder, 300-horsepower Lycoming TIO-540 piston engine that turns a Hartzell 3-blade, constant-speed propeller. The Saratoga has a range of 902 miles, a service ceiling of 20,000 feet above sea level, and a climb rate of up to 1,120 feet per minute. It cruises at 173 miles per hour and has a top speed of 181 mph.
