PMDG Simulations

4.2/5 (380)

Created by the most recognized and experienced team in desktop flight simulation, the PMDG 737-900 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is an incredibly detailed, feature rich simulation of the ubiquitous Boeing narrow body.

Representing years of work to to leverage the very best that Microsoft Flight Simulator can offer, the PMDG 737-900 is the fourth installment in PMDG's simulation of the magnificent Boeing 737NG series.

The 737-900 is a twin-engine, narrow-body jet airliner produced by American aviation firm Boeing. The -900 is a member of the 737 Next Generation (also called 737 Next Gen or just 737NG) family of airliners that was introduced in December of 1997. The 737NG line is the third generation of the successful 737 lineage, with enhancements that include a redesigned wing, upgraded flight controls, a glass cockpit, greater fuel capacity, greater take-off weight, and longer range. The 737 Next Generation family includes the -600, the -700, the -800, and the -900.

The 737-900 is a stretched iteration of the 737-800, with a fuselage lengthening of 8 feet, 8 inches (the 737-800 is itself a stretched version of the -700). The -900 is crewed by two and typically seats from 160 to 184 with a maximum seating of 189. A total of 52 were built.

The 737-900 measures 138 feet, 2 inches in length, stands 41 feet, 2 inches tall, and has a wingspan (with winglets) of 117 feet, 5 inches. It is powered by two CFM International CFM56 high-bypass turbofan engines that produce up to 27,000 pounds of thrust each. The jetliner has a range of 3,378 miles, a service ceiling of 41,000 feet above sea level, and a climb rate of 1,800 feet per minute. It cruises at 524 miles per hour and has a top speed of 541 mph.
