TF-104G - single-engine, two seater supersonic Mach 2.0 trainer, interceptor and fighter bomber

The TF-104G Starfighter is a single-seat, single-engine, multirole jet fighter produced by American aerospace company Lockheed. The supersonic jet first flew on March 4, 1954 and was introduced to the United States Air Force on February 20, 1958. Light, sleek, and exceptionally fast, the Starfighter was deployed as an interceptor tasked with taking down potential incoming waves of Soviet bombers. The Starfighter also saw extensive action in Vietnam, where it undertook a number of missions, including light bomber, interdiction, air superiority, and close air support. In addition to the United States Air Force, the TF-104G served a number of foreign ally nations, including Norway, Italy, Japan, and Germany.

Needle-like in appearance, the Starfighter measures 54 feet, 8 inches in length, features a trapezoidal, anhedral wing with a span of just 21 feet, 9 inches, and a T-tail empennage. It is powered by a single General Electric J79 afterburning turbojet engine that produces up to 10,000 pounds of thrust in military power, and 15,600 pounds under full afterburner. The jet has a maximum combat range of 420 miles, a maximum speed of 1,528 miles per hour (Mach 2), and climbs at an incredible 48,000 feet per minute, and has a service ceiling of 50,000 feet above sea level.

One of the most standout aircraft ever created, the Lockheed TF-104G Starfighter allows pilots to rip into the stratosphere at twice the speed of sound, effortlessly. Due to its refined design, aviators can also fly profiles other than just straight and blazing fast, including loops, rolls, and high-g turns in this power machine.
