The PC-12/47 is a single-engine, low-wing utility airplane produced by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. Crewed by one or two, with room for up to 6 passengers, the PC-12/47 is a more powerful iteration of the PC-12. The base airframe first flew on May 31, 1991 and has since become the best selling aircraft in its class (pressurized single-engine, turbine-powered) with more than 1,700 units sold. The PC-12/47 was certified for flight in 2005 and is renowned for its versatility. It successfully supports a variety of aviation fields, including business, regional airliner, medical, and military special operations.

The PC-12/47 features a high aspect ratio main wing with a span of 53 feet, 5 inches, retractable tricycle landing gear, and a T-tail empennage. Focused on practical mission applications, the cockpit is notably utilitarian and uses AlliedSignal avionics. The aircraft is powered by a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67B turboprop engine that delivers 1,200 shaft horsepower to a Hartzell 4-blade, constant-speed, fully-feathering, reversible propeller. The aircraft has a long-range cruise speed of 232 miles per hour, a high-speed cruise of 310 mph, and a service ceiling of 30,000 feet above sea level.

The Pilatus PC-12/47 looks every bit the performer, and once in the cockpit, aviators know that this machine delivers on its appearance. The powerful PT6A-67B easily pulls this sleek craft through the toughest of situations, including short field take-offs, and has the efficiency to cruise long distances comfortably and confidently.
