The RV-10 is a single-engine, low-wing, homebuilt kit monoplane by Van’s Aircraft of the United States. A four-seat version of their successful RV line, it took its maiden flight on May 29, 2003, and kit deliveries began in September of 2003. The design is popular as a touring aircraft, and over 1,000 have been built to date.

The RV-10 measures 24 feet, 5 inches in length and features a straight main wing with a span of 31 feet, 9 inches. It has a standard tail unit and a fixed tricycle undercarriage with wheels enclosed in wheel pants for aerodynamic efficiency.

The RV-10 is powered by a horizontally-opposed, six-cylinder Lycoming O-540 engine that delivers up to 260 horsepower and turns a Hartzell 2-blade, constant-speed propeller. The aircraft has a range of 825 miles, climbs at 1,450 feet per minute, and has a service ceiling of 20,000 feet above sea level. It cruises at 197 miles per hour, tops out at 208 mph, and stalls at 63.

The RV-10 was conceived for cruising, and with every take-off, aviators relish in its exquisite design and performance. With great range, plenty of power, and wide-open vistas through its canopy, each RV-10 flight is an unforgettable experience.
