Onboard Systems Each onboard system has a detailed simulation of both its physical behavior and the automatic control computer that manages it. The electrical system dynamically propagates load, the hydraulic system realistically pressurizes over time with varied per-system values, the air system responds to bleed configurations and environmental conditions, and the fuel system manages complex transfer and temperature control behavior.

Flight Controls
Advanced and unique features like the dial-a-flap system, control surface droop, and deflected aileron package are fully simulated.

Advanced Flight Management System Experience professional-grade flight planning and management via SIDs and STARs, realistic time and fuel predictions, performance/cost index management, custom waypoints, wind data entry, and holding pattern capabilities. Full simulation of the autoflight and autothrottle system from TAKEOFF pitch guidance to dual AUTOLAND can guide you runway to runway.

ACARS/CPDLC Simulation
Communicate with air traffic control using the MCDU.

LSAS & RCWS
Fully implemented Lateral Stability Augmentation System (LSAS) and optional Roll Control Wheel Steering for enhanced manual flight assistance.

Dynamic Display Systems Experience the 6 rounded digital displays of the MD-11 cockpit, offering visibility into all critical flight and systems data.

CRT Technology
    - Authentic warm-up sequences
    - Display computer simulation
    - Screen shuffling behavior

Alert and Data Systems
    - Realistic engine display data and animation
    - Full master caution/warning and hundreds of possible alerts
    - Full system synoptics

Display Options
    - Tape or dial style engine displays
    - Flight director type and rising runway behavior
    - Analog or digital standby
    - Wind display types

Multiple Engine Variants Recreate your preferred operator with your choice of the CF6-80C2 or PW4460/4462 engines, each with their own unique performance and sound profiles. Both variants are driven by a custom full authority digital engine controller (FADEC).

General Electric CF6-80C2
    - Realistic N1 control
    - Iconic whine sound
    - Lower pressure oil system
    - Realistic earlier engine data display

Pratt & Whitney PW4460/62
    - Custom EPR simulation
    - Livery-selectable 4460 or 4462 variants
    - Higher pressure oil system
    - Realistic delayed data during startup

Officially Licensed The TFDi Design MD-11 is a Boeing Officially Licensed Product. Produced under license. Boeing and McDonnell Douglas MD-11, their distinctive logos, product markings and trade dress are trademarks of The Boeing Company.

One of the Best The TFDi Design MD-11 was nominated for Best Airliner in Microsoft Flight Simulator in the Flight Sim Awards 2025.

The MD-11 is a long-range, three-engine, wide-body jet aircraft that can be configured for passenger or cargo use. The jet took its maiden flight on January 10, 1990 and a total of 200 were built. It is one of the most distinctive jet aircraft ever produced, notably due to its three-engine configuration and large size. The Freighter Variant can carry a maximum 200,151 pounds of cargo in a variety of configurations. The MD-11 Freighter is one of the most reliable, efficient, robust, and renowned cargo aircraft ever manufactured. The Passenger Variant can carry up to 410 passengers, although typical seating arrangements range from 298 to 323 passengers.

The MD-11 is characterized by a low, swept main wing with one engine on each side of the wing. It has a standard empennage with an engine mounted at the base of the vertical stabilizer. It features an advanced glass cockpit and is piloted by a crew of two.

The jet measures 202 feet, 2 inches in length, has a fuselage width of 19 feet, 9 inches, stands 57 feet, 11 inches tall, and has a wingspan of 170 feet, 6 inches.

The jet is powered by three high-bypass turbofan engines that each deliver up to 62,000 pounds of thrust. It has a range of 4,134 miles (fully loaded), a service ceiling of 43,000 feet above sea level, and a maximum cruise speed of 583 miles per hour.
