The Gould Peterson Municipal Airport is located one mile east of Tarkio.

History: Renowned for its air shows, Tarkio Airport is located in the heart of Missouri, between Kansas City, Omaha, and Des Moines. Missouri is a relatively flat state, offering stunning views, particularly for aerial acrobatics. This airfield also serves as the base for the Flying Bell Circus, dedicated to preserving the memory of World War II aircraft through aerial acrobatic shows.
