Hamburg Airport (official name Hamburg Airport) is the fifth largest and oldest airport in Germany. Of the two existing buildings, Terminal 1 is the most recent one. It was inaugurated in 2005.

The architectural note of particular value is given by the rainwater exploitation system that provides health services, as well as by the so-called thermal labyrinth supporting the air conditioning system using geothermal energy.
