Squamish Municipal Airport - Don Patrick Field is situated equidistance between Vancouver and Whistler on the Sea-to-Sky Highway where the magnificent Coast Mountains meet the mouth of Howe Sound. It serves as an ideal base for adventurous flyers who love backcountry flying.

Originally established in the 1960s primarily to support local aviation and recreational flying activities Squamish Municipal grey steadily over time to serve as a hub for general aviation on Canada's West coast.

Squamish Municipal is a wonderfully alive airport with Four aviation companies there, Glacier Air which focuses on flight training, rides, private charters, Sea To Sky Air which focuses on scenic flights and seaplane tours, Black Tusk Helicopter which offers backcountry drops, hut access, sightseeing tours, and finally, Blackcomb Helicopters who offer tours, utilities and heli-skiing.

Squamish Municipal Airport has been faithfully recreated by Burning Blue Design, undertaking an on-site visit to ensure the highest levels of accuracy. It features:

  • Over 90 custom 3D objects each with full Physical Based Rendering (PBR) textures.
  • Based on June 2024 layout.
  • Full custom night lighting.
  • Animated hangar doors which close at night.
  • Completely custom windsock.
  • Animated spectators who leave at night.
