Is located about 19 kilometres or 12 miles southwest of Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Construction began in 2022 and is scheduled to begin operation on December 1, 2023.

History In March 2011, the buidding for construction contracts was to be concluded.

As of April 2014, all projects related with the Tulum Airport were no longer available through official sites, and after the installation of Andrés Manuel López Obrador as president in 2018, emphasis was placed on the high speed trans-peninsula train, the Tren Maya.

In recent years, however, plans were reinstituted and the airport was scheduled to open in April 2024, with Viva Aerobus announced as the first carrier to operate.

Aeroméxico announced its intentions to launch flights to the United States and Canada, with its first destinations being Toronto, Chicago and San Francisco.

Delta Air Lines announced that it would launch nonstop flights from Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport to the airport when international flights open in March 2024.

Following Delta, Spirit Airlines announced it would be adding two routes to TQO from Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
