The João Durval Carneiro Airport (SDIY), located in Feira de Santana, Bahia, is an important regional hub serving the state's second largest city. Known by the ICAO code SDIY and IATA code FEC, it was inaugurated in 1985 for private flights and privatized in 2013. In 2022, it underwent significant renovation and expansion of its facilities. It is currently managed by AFS - Aeroporto de Feira de Santana S/A.
Additionally, the airport hosts a manufacturing unit of Paradise Indústria Aeronáutica, which began operations in September 2009, and Montaer, specialized in the production of light sport aircraft since 2017. It is also home to the Feira de Santana Aeroclub, a flight training school. The airport features a 1500x30 meter runway and a terminal offering full services.
Due to the recent change from ICAO SBFE to SDIY, the "navigraph-data-base" package installed in the "Community" folder is causing runway duplication. This is because Navigraph adds a new ICAO to MSFS, overlapping with the existing scenery runway.
To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:
- Access "Experimental Options";
- Activate the "package sorting tool";
- Look for SDIY;
- Change the scenery package order to a number higher than "navigraph-navdata-base";
- Apply the changes and restart MSFS.
If the previous solution doesn't work, follow these alternative steps:
- If João Durval Carneiro Airport (SDIY) is already installed, uninstall it
- Remove the "navigraph-navdata" and "navigraph-navdata-base" folders from the Community folder.
- Reinstall the SDIY scenery.
- Open MSFS and once in the lobby, close the program.
- Add back the "navigraph-navdata" and "navigraph-navdata-base" folders to the Community folder.
- Open MSFS again.
After following these steps, the issue should be resolved.
