SNVB Valença Airport

VALENA BAHIA

5/5 (1)

Valença Airport (IATA: VAL, ICAO: SNVB) is located on the southern coast of Bahia, Brazil, approximately 15 km from downtown Valença and near Guaibim Beach. It serves as one of the main air access points for tourists visiting paradisiacal destinations such as Morro de São Paulo, Boipeba, and Gamboa. The airport features an asphalt runway measuring 1,800 meters in length and 30 meters in width, allowing operations of small to medium-sized aircraft such as the ATR-72 and similar models. Its infrastructure includes a passenger terminal, aircraft parking area, illuminated apron, and navigation aids, including a PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator) system. The airport operates under both VFR and IFR conditions, with prior scheduling required for night operations. Reopened in 2000 after renovations, Valença Airport has undergone recent improvements that make it a strategic hub for regional flights in Bahia. This scenery was modeled based on real images, offering accurate representations of the terminal, runway, and surrounding structures—ideal for virtual pilots looking to explore the stunning Costa do Dendê region with realism and immersion.

The development of this scenery was made possible with the special support of Marcelo Monteiro, commercial pilot, for providing photos and videos, and Alex Solla Lemos, commercial pilot, for conducting in-simulator testing.
