Moi International Airport (HKMO) serves the coastal city of Mombasa and is Kenya's main gateway to the Indian Ocean. Generally good weather conditions make operations straightforward, while heat, humidity, and sea breezes can add subtle challenges on approach and departure. From Mombasa, the Seychelles can be reached in around 3 hours, Mayotte in about 2.5 hours, and Réunion in roughly 4 hours of flight time. That means HKMO is not only the perfect complement to our Nairobi scenery and the upcoming Zanzibar Addon, but also an ideal starting point for island-hopping flights across the Indian Ocean.
