Located approximately 18 km from the center of the capital Rio Branco, Rio Branco International Airport is the main aerodrome in the state of Acre. The equipment has a runway 2,158 meters long and serves domestic, international, general and military aviation, with the operation of scheduled airlines and an important movement of air taxis. Rio Branco is the westernmost capital of the country and is on the banks of the Acre River, which gives the state its name. It is located on the triple border between Brazil, Peru and Bolivia and has a different time zone from Brasília, being two times less than the federal capital.
