Tefé Airport (IATA: TFF, ICAO: SBTF) is a Brazilian airport located in the municipality of Tefé, central Amazonas state. It is five kilometers from the city center. On March 31, 1980, the airport began to be managed by INFRAERO. Tefé Airport was created to meet the demands of the FAB in the actions of the National Air Mail (CAN), providing support to the civilian communities of the middle Solimões channel. Named only as Tefé Airport, it began to be managed by Infraero on March 30, 1980.
Located in the center of the State of Amazonas, Tefé Airport plays an important role for local commercial activity and for neighboring municipalities, as well as supporting tourism and national and international research.
In addition to being one of the main gateways for the development of the interior in the north of Brazil, it has a strategic geographical location. It is an alternative for flights that, for various reasons, depend on the aid of air navigation maintained by Infraero.
