Colmar airport (LFGA) is located in Houssen, just north of the city of Colmar, in the center of Alsace. The sculptor of the Statue of Liberty, Auguste Bartholdi, was born in Colmar in 1834. A replica of the famous statue was erected in 2004 to commemorate Bartholdi one hundred years after the sculptor’s death. It now stands at the town’s northern entrance.

The airport has a 1610-meter hard-surface runway and a 950-meter grass runway (approx. 6627 and 2297 feet respectively) both oriented 01/19. Colmar airport is a controlled airport open to both national and international, commercial and private, and IFR and VFR air traffic. An ideal platform for tourist flights, gliding and primary flight training, surrounded by the Vosges mountain range and located close to many castles, the most famous being Haut-Kœnigsbourg castle.

Main features: Designed exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Highly detailed 3D models and high-resolution textures created to suit the simulator’s specifications. Terrain and runway faithfully reproduced. High-resolution ground textures entirely remastered by hand. Enhanced multi-resolution ground textures dramatically reduce file sizes with no impact on visual quality.
