Nîmes-Garons Airport (LFTW): where civil aviation meets France's Sécurité Civile (Civil Security). Located in southern France, Nîmes-Garons Airport (LFTW / FNI) is a regionally important airport: commercial aviation with 250,000 passengers in 2025 (to London, Brussels, Marrakech, etc.), along with general and business aviation and a flight school. It shares its runway with the French Civil Security base (BASC) and its Canadair CL-415 and Dash 8 water bombers, as well as the helicopter unit (GHSC) with its EC145 "Dragon" helicopters.
