Eugenio María de Hostos Airport (IATA: MAZ, ICAO: TJMZ, FAA LID: MAZ) is a public use airport 4 miles (6 km) north of Mayagüez, a coastal city in Puerto Rico. It offers limited, domestic commercial service, subsidized by the Essential Air Service program. Cape Air currently operates several daily flights to San Juan (TJSJ), with some other limited charter operations. The runway is frequently used by the US Coast Guard and US Customs and Border Patrol for practice flights. The airport is currently undergoing renovations, with GA and Corporate Jet activity slowly resuming. In the past, the airport offered flights to the Dominican Republic (MDSP) serviced by American Eagle (featuring the ATR-42). The passenger terminal is modeled in detail and features the Cape Air ticketing area, as well as the recently remodeled kiosks, which still lack tenants. Other buildings such as the old Police (FURA) hangar, the Fire Department, and two GA hangars are also included, as well as the very deteriorated control tower, which never operated. Static aircraft found on this scenery are based on real aircraft based on this airport. This scenery was developed for MSFS2020 and has been successfully tested for MSFS2024 use.
