The civilian airport opened in 1926 and was renovated to include a passenger building, workshops, two hangars and a control tower in June 1936, a few weeks before the Berlin Olympics.

Butzweilerhof was the second largest airport in Germany after Berlin Tempelhof and was nicknamed Luftkreuz des Westens (Air Traffic Control of the West).

THIS SCENE CREATES AN MSFS WORLD IN 1935. KOLN_BONN airport is erased.

IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER SCENE IN THE SAME LOCATION IN 2020 AND WILL MODIFY THESE OTHER SCENES TO ALLOW IMMERSION INTO THE 1930'S. YOU WILL HAVE TO MANAGE THEM BY INSTALLING/UNINSTALLING THEM IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 1935 AND TODAY.

RWG GERMANY 1935 is an optional add-on increasing even more immersion by changing planes, services and countries...but is not essential.
