On 29 March 1920, the transfer of commercial flights from Hounslow to Croydon Airport began, the official opening of which did not take place until 31 March 1921. By the mid-1930s Croydon proved inadequate and on 6 June 1936 Gatwick Airport was inaugurated on the site of an aerodrome dating from 1930. Hendon and Croydon closed in 1968 and 1959 respectively.

Too small and too close to urban areas to expand, Croydon Airport was sentenced.

IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER SCENE IN THE SAME LOCATION IN 2020 AND WILL MODIFY THESE OTHER SCENES TO ALLOW IMMERSION INTO THE 1930'S. YOU WILL HAVE TO MANAGE THEM BY INSTALLING/UNINSTALLING THEM IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 1935 AND TODAY.

RWG FRANCE 1935, including UK 1935, is an optional add-on increasing even more immersion by changing planes, services and countries ... but is not essential.
