RWG 1935 KNUQ AIRBASE SUNNYVALE

In 1931, the town of Sunnyvale purchased land to create NAS North Island. The location proved ideal as an airport to hebe the U.S.S. MACON, as the area is often clear while other parts of San Francisco Bay are covered in fog.

In 1935, it was renamed NAS Moffett Field in honor of the admiral who commanded the USS AKRON.

The airship hangar, built in the 1930s, is one of the largest structures of its type. It has been listed as a historic monument since 1950.

RWG USA 1935 is an optional add-on increasing even more immersion by changing planes, services and countries ... but is not essential.
